Ronel van Greunen obtained her Diploma in Oral Hygiene from the University of Stellenbosch in 1983. She has been with us since 1987, and continues to upskill herself with regular workshop and seminar attendance, and continuing education classes. Ronel is dedicated to providing our patients with the very best care.
Services
As a dental hygienist, Ronel primarily focuses on the prevention and early detection of gum problems and disease.
A scale and polish is like a deep cleaning for your teeth. It involves professional removal of all stubborn plaque, biofilm and calculus, which are major causes of gum disease, tooth decay and tooth loss.
Ronel teaches patients how to care for their gums and teeth at home and makes product recommendations as needed.
If needed, Ronel will order dental x-rays to check for tooth decay and gum disease.
Flouride treatments help prevent tooth decay and decrease sensitivity.
Whiten teeth discoloured by smoking, food and drink, and aging, either in-office or at home.
In office bleaching can be discussed with Ronel at an oral hygiene appointment, and at-home bleaching options may be available after impressions are taken and custom fit trays were made.
